EVERYBODY knows about the legendarily small run of korina Explorer's from the 50's. 60's examples...not sure if we want to talk about those. But here's the result of that initial korina craze. First year, 1983 reissue of the 1958 Explorer. This is what you want, man. This is where it's at. Clean and ready to go. Some tarnishing on the gold pickup covers and a few small areas of checking along the edges of the guitar. Small chip on the headstock overlay by the D tuner. These original reissues of the Explorer's and V's are pretty legendary with Tim Shaw pickups, super comfortable neck and the mojo comes free.
The new Gibson reissue's are going for a pretty penny and are brand new compared to this nearly 40 year old guitar. Get this one. Do it.
