This 2017 Pamelina H Custom Build was constructed with no expense spared. Here is the story.
In 2016 I fell in love with the custom guitar artwork of Pamelina H. I went to her website and communicated with her directly about my desire to have a custom stratocaster with Marilyn Monroe art work. I chose "Dark Marilyn" and the process began. I went to Warmoth and chose a black alder body. The body was sent to Pamelina H in California where it spent the next five months having the custom art work done. While the body was in California, I contacted Warmoth and had a AAAA custom-made birdseye maple neck constructed with 6150 gold frets. Fret markers are abalone to accent the gold frets.
Pamelina sent me a digital copy of the art work and I contacted Extreme Creations of New York and had the custom tremolo cover and custom neck plate constructed. I knew I needed the perfect knobs and did not want cheap plastic ones so I had gold metal top hat knobs constructed. Of course looks only get you so far.... it had to sound and play perfectly as well. So Lace sensor Hot Gold pickups in black were added using cloth wiring. Fender gold hardware an Klusion locking tuners were added. The entire instrument was then assembled and set up by Penland Guitar Works of Salisbury N.C. You can view his website for more details about this fine luthier. To complete this work I needed case candy. Therefore a copy of the Playboy magazine featuring Marilyn Monroe is included. Other goodies include Marilyn picks and case, Marilyn I.D. card when she was a USO entertainer. Case is a G and G in tweed. A certificate of authenticity framed from Pamelina H is included. The head stock label can be removed in the event that the buyer wishes to put a "F" reconstruction logo on the neck. Head stock has Marilyn's "signature" on it as well.
