Dan started building these for the likes of Mahalie from Twiddle and others looking for a bit of Jerry Garcia, and the ability to go from super clean chimmey to drenched screaming tones, to create their own voice. I had him build me one with no “F” holes, and solid block down the center to support the ABR-1 bridge / tailpiece set up I favor
The guitar is extremely light and is powered by 2 of Dan’s Tru PAF’s humbucker PUP’s. He then kicked it up a few notches by adding taps for both pups’s and if not enough, he installed one of his mid boosting Blasters.
There is an incredible range of tone out of this axe.
The neck is a vintage ‘59 LP carve (To the med. side)- Dan does the best necks
