Dreadnaught guitar with Sitka spruce top and Brazilian Rosewood back and sides.
The top is Master Grade Spruce - very tight grained and shimmering with medulary rays.  The Brazilian Rosewood back and sides are stunning matched examples of this most prized tonewood.  The head stock is adorned with a beautifully inlaid Mother-of-Pearl eagle and edged with a thin strip of silver on an ebony face plate. The neck is Mahogany with an ebony fingerboard with, "microdot" position markers.  It is quite slim with good width.  The action is low and very easy to play.  The body is bound with Curly Maple.   On the face can be found three very small dings, the size of a paper match head - if you look hard.  In spite of these blemishes, this guitar is nearly mint condition with almost no play or fret wear.  The tone is very balanced across the spectrum, a hallmark of all of Jean Larrivee's guitars.  There is a remarkable reverberation of harmonic overtones and sparkle to this guitar.  It has a depth of tone that you can just fall into when playing it and lose yourself in.  It's truly a great sounding guitar and excellent for recording.
